\"\"<\/a>Congratulation to Krysztof, our champion of the March 2016\u00a0KTTC 41-point Handicap Club Tournament. \u00a0On March 1st, 2016, KTTC hosts a club tournament using the USATT 41-point handicap system. \u00a0The tournament uses single elimination format and 16 warriors have to brave the strong rain storm to\u00a0show up and compete. \u00a0The tournament is one of our club fun events and every player will put in $3.00 for the prize money pool. \u00a0The winner takes 50% of the pool money\u00a0and 1st runner-up will take 25% of the pool money. \u00a0For this time, we also played the third place match for a prize of $5.00. \u00a0Even 4th place receive his entry fee of $3.00 back.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Since there was no seeding in this tournament, the draw was done by the players themselves. \u00a0The tournament was quite a nerve-wrecking experience especially for those with higher USATT rating players. \u00a0There are many\u00a0upsets as well. \u00a0Naveed has played above his level and beat Peng in the first round with a score of 41 to 39. \u00a0That’s close to 500 point rating difference!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>On the other bracket,\u00a0Jonathan has to overcome a large handicap disadvantage to defeat Eric with a final score of 42 to 40 just to get past first round!<\/p>\n

In the Semi-Finals, the first match is between Sammy and Naveed. \u00a0Both players are quite close after the handicap advantage. \u00a0Naveed has to give Sammy a slight advantage to start the match. \u00a0In the end, Sammy consistency pays off and defeated Naveed with a score of 41 vs 34.<\/p>\n

The second Semi-Final match is between Ed and Krysztof. \u00a0Ed has a huge handicap disadvantage to start the match and even with his ferocious short pips forehand attacks, it is too big of a hill to overcome. \u00a0Krysztof defeated Ed with a score of 41 to 21.<\/p>\n

In the Final, it was Krysztof and Sammy who reach the final by wise tactics and a bit of handicap advantage.\u00a0Krysztof receives a slight 4 point advantage to start the match and he never let that advantage go in the end. \u00a0With good services and good ball placements, Krzysztof defeated Sammy with a final score of 41 to 30.<\/p>\n

Ed and Naveed also played in the 3rd place match and it was Naveed came out as the victor with a score of 41 to 32.<\/p>\n
