Knoxville Table Tennis Club will be hosting our first tournament of the year – the Spring Giant Round Robin Knoxville Open Tournament on May 7th, 2016. \u00a0This is the\u00a0first tournament that we will be using a giant round robin format. \u00a0The tournament will be played at our home club, the Phyllis Wheatley YWCA at 124 S. Cruze Street, Knoxville, TN 37915.<\/p>\n

The tournament will have two stages, the first stage will be a giant round robin. \u00a036 players will be broken into two divisions. \u00a0The top 18 rated players will be in the Upper division and the lower 18 rated players will be in the Lower division. \u00a0For each division, there will be two groups of 9 players. \u00a0So each player will play 8 matches within the group.<\/p>\n

The top two finishes of each group will advance to the division’s semi-finals and final. \u00a0Please note that unrated player will not be allowed to advance to the single elimination stage. \u00a0The next qualified player will take the\u00a0spot instead.<\/p>\n
