KTTC IS HOSTING A CLUB HANDICAP TOURNAMENT ON TUES, APRIL 07, 2015!<\/h3>\n

Back by popular demand, KTTC will host its second 41-point handicap tournament event on April 7th, 2015 Tuesday.<\/p>\n

This will be a FAIR, FUN, & FABULOUS Event for all! \u00a0The format will be the same as the first time. \u00a0But we are going to bump up the prize money with $3.00 entry fee.<\/p>\n

HANDICAP RULES\/FORMAT<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. We will have 16 players maximum. The format is single elimination.<\/li>\n
  2. Each player will pay only $3.00 to play.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Winner of the tournament will get 50% of the money, 2nd place will get 25%, 3rd and 4th place will receive 10% round to the nearest dollar, e.g. if we have 16 players entered the tournament, winner will get 50% of $48 = $24, 2nd place will get $12.00, 3rd and 4th place will get $5.00.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Each match will be a single 41 point match with handicap given to a lower rating player according to USATT handicap scale. e.g. if Player A’s rating is 1650 and Player B’s rating is 1400, Player B will start the match with 14 points. So every player has equal chance! \u00a0Click here<\/a> for the Handicap chart. \u00a0Also, previous handicap tournament players will have their rating adjusted based on their last performance.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. The draw will be done on 4\/7 and matches will begin immediately after the draw. If we cannot finish all matches, those matches will be played on 4\/9 or based on the players’ availability.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Any player who does not have a formal USATT rating will be rated by the club officers.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Draw starts at 7:30 p.m. and the matches will start around 7:45 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE to sign up and have FUN with this!<\/p>\n
