width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span>here<\/a>&nbsp;. --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Notes About the Tournament:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4>Tournament Format<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1st Round (Format: Round Robin):\n<ul>\n<li>48 players are divided into 8 groups of 6 and play a round robin format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>2nd Round (Format: Round Robin, 2 groups of 4 per division) Every player from 1st Round will advance to 2nd Round:\n<ul>\n<li>The 1st place finish from 1st Round will be placed in Division A RR groups.<\/li>\n<li>The 2nd place finish from 1st Round will be placed in Division B RR groups.<\/li>\n<li>The 3rd place finish from 1st Round will be placed in Division C RR groups.<\/li>\n<li>The 4th place finish from 1st Round will be placed in Division D RR groups.<\/li>\n<li>The 5th place finish from 1st Round will be placed in Division E RR groups.<\/li>\n<li>The 6th place finish from 1st Round will be placed in Division F RR groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>3rd Round (Format: Elimination)\n<ul>\n<li>Top two finishes of each 2nd round RR group will advance to play a cross-over semi-finals and finals.<\/li>\n<li>Due to time limit, we will not have a 3rd place match this time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>About the Competition Venue and general administrative matters<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The competition is played at the PickleBall Playground (formerly known as Tennessee Tennis Club and Academy) Indoor Tennis court and Pickleball Court.&nbsp; The address is 2810 Ball Camp Byington Road, Knoxville, TN 37931.&nbsp; The phone number there is 865-999-5926.&nbsp; You may need to use Google Map to type in the location name instead of the address.&nbsp; Some GPS units may take you to an apartment complex.&nbsp; If you do, just keep driving down the road.<\/li>\n<li>You are advised to wear non-marking shoes.&nbsp; Any indoor Table Tennis shoes or any Tennis Court shoes will be fine.<\/li>\n<li>You can drive through the front gate and park your car inside the complex.&nbsp; Please be aware that there will be a sanction Corn Hole Tournament event happening at the same time and parking can be tight.&nbsp; If the weather is clear, the Corn Hole Tournament will be hosted outside.&nbsp; Otherwise, they will be playing on the opposite side of the indoor court facility.<\/li>\n<li>We will provide pizzas for lunch.&nbsp; However, players are responsible for their own drinks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Tournament Hotel<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>We have arranged a group rate with the Holiday Inn at Cedar Bluff (15 minutes from the venue) of $124 + tax for any out of town players who want a good night sleep and warm breakfast.&nbsp; Indoor courts open for check-in and warm up<\/li>\n<li>08:45 a.m. &#8211; Players meeting starts<\/li>\n<li>09:00 a.m. &#8211; Preliminary Round Robin Competition starts<\/li>\n<li>01:00 p.m. &#8211; Target finish time for 1st round.<\/li>\n<li>01:00 p.m. &#8211; Lunch break for 30 minutes<\/li>\n<li>01:30 p.m. &#8211; Target start time for Division A, B, C, D 2nd Round Robin Group, 1 table for each group<\/li>\n<li>03:30 p.m. &#8211; Target start time for Division E, F Round Robin Group, 1.5 table for each group, i.e. two groups sharing one table in addition to the assigned table for the group<\/li>\n<li>03:30 p.m. &#8211; Target start time for Division A Semi-Finals<\/li>\n<li>04:00 p.m. &#8211; Target start time for Division E, F Finals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Check-in and No-Show<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Please make sure that you sign the USATT Waiver form at check-in. &nbsp;We cannot report the tournament results without your signature. &nbsp;Parents\/Legal Guardian will sign the form on behalf of the junior players.<\/li>\n<li>Players meeting will start at 8:45 a.m. and competition will start at 9:00 a.m. &nbsp;Due to the high number of matches to be played, we will start on time. &nbsp;If you are late, your group will play around you first. &nbsp;But if you are too late after all the matches are played among other group members, your matches will be defaulted and you won&#8217;t be able to participate for the rest of the tournament. No refund will be issued when this happens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>About the Upset Gold Dollar<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Our tournament features a unique payout and that is our Upset Gold Dollars. &nbsp;These are real one dollar coins that we give to player who scores an upset match.<\/li>\n<li>Upset Gold Dollar will be paid to winners of all upsets, regardless of player&#8217;s rating.
